If you look closely at muc off one that shieldsy posted you will see that it is smooth while the proper microfibre one from muc off i posted isn't.
Microfibre is always mixed up with chamois or even in the same sentence when it shouldn't be, company's do this all the time.

I guess what they mean by protecting is that it must leave a small film layer when applied, kinda like what was does to your car.
What about the contents in the spray, the thickness, easy to apply and any ammonia.
