if u can getpci i would recommend, if not then usb should be surfice. where is his pc going to be compared to his router???
btw usb tends to be cheaper than pci
not sure but he is not budging from wireless so it shall be yea kinda thought pci is better
if he goes for usb make sure he has a good look around, coz theres a lot of shit ones (i.e saying the range is this and its realy not, like mine) so id be careful.

its not upto him im building it for him so i need to get it right first time lol
well i woudl recomend going to his and see where he wants his pc and see where the router is first before deciding what to get if its going to be in the same room tbh i dont think you will get a lot of difference between usb and pci

i know its deffo not in the same room i think its cus he has a rented brand new house and dont want ethernet cable trailing about or tack the cable to the wall

there are Wireless nic's on the market
http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=31 (where the N is important for the fastest speeds)
If ya go to a store look for an adapter that supports N category.
But he will need a router that supports wireless aswell.
