i agree with simon on this one, if its cheap and its a one you like give it a try and see how it goes, personally i would not go for plasma either as there very energy consuming and are slowly fading out with LCD and LEDs pritty much dominating the scene the only advans to get plasma is 0ms responce time and the fact there cheaper, if im honest if you already have a 5ms monitor and looking to change to another i dont think you will see any difference in anyways, but if you try playing on a plasma screen you would notice a difference when playing games like bf3 and that with the responce with your mouse
